On this episode, we’re joined by Dr. Bob Shearer.

Dr. Bob Shearer has taught business law and management ethics at North Greenville University and Southern Wesleyan University, respectively.

Today, he’s helping to grow a startup called Carolina Buy, which is a purchasing cooperative for educators, governments, nonprofits, and churches in South Carolina.

He’s a highly decorated USAF combat pilot from Vietnam, and he holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina.

Paul Sanders is the President and CEO of the Oldham Little Church Foundation (OLCF), a foundation dedicated to helping small Protestant evangelical churches with facilities completion grants. Since the establishment in 1949, the OLCF has granted over $46 million to 16,800 churches across the United States.

As an Architect by training, his experience in complex project development and planning has included key roles with Rice University, the Texas Medical Center, Inc. and Texas A&M University.

He holds a Doctor of Public Health from the University of Texas.  

Leigh McLeroy is an author, speaker, and Bible teacher who speaks at conferences and retreats across the U.S. She has created print and web content and curriculum for a variety of non-profit and faith-based organizations including Redeemer Presbyterian Church (NYC) and The Oldham Little Church Foundation.

Leigh holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism from Texas A&M University and a Master of Arts in Apologetics from Houston Baptist University.

She is the author of five books including The Beautiful Ache and The Sacred Ordinary, and a collaborator, editor, or ghostwriter for another 17 published titles.

On this episode, we’re joined by Dr. William Oliver.

William holds a master’s from MIT and a Doctor of Management from Case Western.  He taught in the undergraduate and master’s programs at Brandeis, UMass Amherst, Tufts, Gordon College, and UC Irvine. Dr. Oliver has founded four companies and invested as a partner in a venture capital firm.

He has consulted to senior leadership of big business through Bain & Company and KPMG as well as to government agencies, bringing the benefit of commercial-sector experience in outsourcing, business process improvement, and using data to improve management decision making. He has served as CFO of three companies and on the boards of three commercial companies and four non-profits.

He has also done a lot of great work to help people with special needs and developmental disabilities through his church, the Special Olympics, and as Treasurer of L’Arche Boston North, a mission-focused community where people with developmental disabilities and those who assist them live together as a family and a sign of hope to the greater community.

Michael Zigarelli is a Professor of Leadership and Strategy at Messiah College and the former Dean of the Regent University School of Business. Dr. Zigarelli’s research in the fields of management, practical theology, and sports ministry has appeared in a number of scholarly journals and magazines, and he is the author of twelve books, including Christian-Owned Companies, Influencing Like Jesus, The Messiah Method, and Management by Proverbs. His work has been translated into several languages.

Albert M. (Al) Erisman is the Executive in Residence at the Seattle Pacific University School of Business, Government and Economics, and the past Director for the Center for Integrity in Business at Seattle Pacific University (SPU). He teaches business ethics and business and technology subjects at SPU and also edits Ethix magazine (www.ethix.org).

He's on the review board for The Center for Christianity in Business’ Christian Business Review at Houston Baptist University.

In April 2001, Al completed a 32-year career at The Boeing Company, where for the last 10 years he was Director of R&D for computing and mathematics. 

He has a Ph.D. in applied mathematics from Iowa State University.

Al has been on numerous boards for science and technology including projects for the National Academy. He is also a board member for several startup companies. He has a passion for issues related to faith and work and serves on the board of advisors for Theology of Work Project and Kiros, a Christians in Business organization in the Seattle area.

Al has been married to Nancy for 57 years and they have four children and nine grandchildren. They attend Westminster Chapel in Bellevue.

Steve is the Houston area chair for C12, the nation's largest invitation-only Executive Round table for Christian business owners/CEOs. Steve was a member of one of the three original C12 groups founded in the Tampa Bay area by Buck Jacobs several years ago.

Over the years, Steve and his wife Carolyn have purchased a business and started two others. He founded the successful motivational speaking company, Universal Seminars of America, Inc., and has run it for 25 years.

Steve is dedicated to helping Christian business owners/CEOs and presidents to build great businesses for a greater purpose.

Currently, she's on assignment as a minister of reconciliation in the marketplace, starting at her place of work: a major tech company in Silicon Valley where she works in strategy and operations, while co-leading the company's Christian employee resource group. Christeen is passionate about equipping men and women in the marketplace to pursue an intentional journey of faith and work integration, thereby amplifying their impact in the world in partnership with God. Fred is the retired President of the New York Life Insurance Company, a Fortune 100 company. Under his leadership, New York Life first achieved a number one market share ranking in the sale of Life Insurance in the United States and repeated that distinction for seven years.

Following his retirement from New York Life in 2007, Fred attended Yale Divinity School and was awarded a master’s degree in religion in May of 2011.
